Chapter 1: How you are grieving is important
- There is no “normal” or “right” way to grieve the death of someone close.
- Grief cannot be escaped.
- There is no right amount of time to grieve. It is okay to take however long you need. Grief that continues to affect your ability to carry on day-to-day activities may require additional support from a health care provider.
