Am I losing my mind?

Grieving the death of someone important to you can be very challenging. Grief can cause so many surprisingly difficult feelings and reactions that you may fear they will never stop.

At the same time, most of us manage to get by at work, attend to the tasks of life at home, and keep up our relationships, though sometimes only after a very difficult period. We usually get better at talking about our experience of loss and the person who died and making the sometimes painful but necessary changes to our life.

This chapter will look at some common reactions people have had after the death of someone important to them.
